We had an amazing show at the Oregon Morgan Classic! We were hopping the whole show so I wasn’t able to get photos of everyone but here is a quick rundown:
Owned by Akira:
- Crown Z Queen: Zena was FABULOUS to show in hand. She is so floaty and fun and full of verve. She won her qualifier and was Grand Champion Mare. She had a quick turnaround to her first saddle class and was pretty zippy there! We won it anyway and then later that day she competed for the first time in a youth class with an awesome catch ride by Erin Baker. It was great to see a former student of mine handle a bright four year old so well. Later in the show Zena also won her futurity class and finished the show as Champion English Pleasure Jr horse.
- Emma Downtown had a great time at her first horse show! She was the only Weanling filly but I received many compliments on her. She showed wonderfully. Can’t wait to see what the future brings for her.
Owned by Roth:
- Sea Cloud Second Chance won his yearling class and was Reserve Champion Gelding amid nice competition. He also won his Yearling Futurity Gelding’s class and then went on to win the Yearling Futurity Sweepstakes. What a bright start for this handsome guy! We were ecstatic!
- Faith’s First Impression had a great show! He won the Limit Western Pleasure, was a good second in Pro-Am and finished the show as Reserve Amateur Champion! This guy is such a wonderful performer.
Owned by Breckenridge:
- Rosehaven HC Korver had his ring debut. He was second in WP Stallions and Geldings and Western Pleasure Novice horse. We couldn’t be happier with him. He is steady and quiet and enjoys his job! With a few more shows under his belt he will be a force to recon with.
- ATMF Exclamation was second in mares, limit western pleasure and a very good second in Western Pleasure Amateur Masters. Her big accomplishment at this show was having a great trail go, a division she has struggled in. She was second in Amateur Trail and then won the Open Trail Championship.
- ATMF Moonlight Sonata won the sport horse in hand Mares class and then was reserve champion to her stablemate Aranaway Dante. She also had some wonderful dressage goes in second level test 1 & 3. She is our favorite road hack mount and won both the qualifier and championship in that division. The judge had great compliments to her.
- Aranaway Dante won the Sport Horse in Hand class for the geldings, then was Champion Sport Horse in hand. He is such an athletic, beautiful horse he truly shines in these classes. He also showed well in Dressage first level test one.
